- I found some "Lead Free Silver Solder" today in the store
- which is Kester brand. It says that it is 2% Silver-98% Tin,
- with a melting temp. of 430F. This is flux cored.
-
- The 15% silver alloy solder I mentioned previously (for
- brazing copper, brass, bronze) is phoson+ brand from
- J.W. Harris Co, Inc. 10930 Deerfield Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45242.
- It has HARRIS 15 stamped on the "sticks" of metal.
- I got it at an air conditioning/heating/controls supply house
- and have been using it for general purpose repairs. It is much
- stronger than lead solder. I don't know how hard it is to melt
- since I started using MAPP gas it appears to me that everything
- melts easily!
