- To give you some idea of A/C comps, a few months ago, Harrah's was
- advertising that if you play at least 2 hours at a table, they'll
- guarantee you get a meal comp equal to the table minimum.

- Now to put this in perspective, on the low end, A/C casino food prices
- are about double what I found in Nevada; I can't even afford to look
- at the menus of the places on the high-end.

- Of course the "table minimum" isn't a pittance; even $5 tables are an
- endangered species during peak periods (I mean, Trump's Castle was
- once advertising that they would always have $5 tables open in the
- same way that Nevada casinos would advertise $1 BJ).

- I figure that for low-stakes players, with a bargain airfare, Vegas
- will cost less overall than A/C, even for people who are within driving
- distance of A/C. In A/C, even the dinky motels want $50 a night.
