- To use an ace side count, one tracks the number of aces leaving the deck,
- compares it to the expected number (one per quarter deck), and makes an
- adjustment to the running count based on the excess or absense of aces. The
- reason a side count is important is that "ace richness" effects betting
- strategy but not playing strategy. Hence, if aces were counted they would
- erroneously affect matrix value playing decisions while if ignored
- entirely they would erroneously effect bet size determination.
