- GDS> The best cyclists I have ever been with are experience
- GDS>mountain bikers on recreational rides. More than once, I have been
- GDS>discouraged by trailing everyone else. If I ever made a comment
- GDS>suggesting that I leave, the experienced ones replied that if I
- didn't
- GDS>keep going, I wouldn't get better. People have hung back with me
- to
- GDS>figure out what I could do better.
-
- My experiences also. The help, advice and encouragement I receive when
- I
- started riding my mountain bike off-road, from folks I only met on the
- trails, instilled in me a desire to help and encourage anyone I can
- that
- will accept advice. If the person I'm trying to help doesn't appear
- to want advice, I just go on about my business and forget about them.
- This attitude, to help out where I can, has carried over to my rides on
- my road bike also.

- * SLMR 2.1a * Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.
