- GDS> What about roadies? Does anyone think roadies are more or
- GDS>less friendly than mtn bikers.
-
- My experience is that mountain bikers are, generally, more friendly,
- but only on trails or dirt roads, where the serious mtn. bikers tend to
- ride. The folks that bought mountain bikes because of the trend and
- have
- never been off a paved road or trail, aren't very friendly most of the
- time. And I've passed some very friendly folks on road bikes, but the
- majority of these encounters have been out of the city, on country
- roads. The most friendly cyclist I've met have been those on leisurely
- club rides, or organized rides that stress that they are not races, and
- the friendly folks ride all kinds of bikes, but the majority are on
- mountain bikes.
