  11.     Recently, someone posted e-mail about taking a bicycle on a domestic
  12.     (USA) airline flight.  There was a response to check the 1991 issues of
  13.     BICYCLING magazine about specifications for travelling with a bicycle.
  14.     I checked the magazine and found two good articles:  "Boxing a Bike" (p.
  15.     89-90, Sept/Oct.  1991) and another on the "Unfriendly Skies" which was
  16.     about bike fares on USA airline carriers domestic flights (p.  34-36, ?
  17.     1991).

  19.     In January I will be flying to Tokyo, Japan on American Airlines.  I am
  20.     planning on taking my Trek Mt.  bike with me because I will be living in
  21.     Japan for one to two years.  Does anyone have any information or
  22.     experience on travelling international with a bike on American Airlines?
