- Sequential Circuits was an American synth manufacturer. They made
- several innovative synths such as the Prophet 5 (in its heydey the
- Prophet 5 was as popular as the Minimoog before it and the DX7
- after it - every pro musican had one), and the Prohphet VS.
- Sequential also invented MIDI ( Musical Instrument Digital Interface)
- and worked with other manufacturers to have it adopted as a standard.
- Sequential's synths were all digital/analog hybrids.
-
- The stmt ``This album was recorded,
- mixed, and edited using analogue tape and sequential circuits technology.''
- probably meant they were proud of the fact that they used Sequential's
- synths for everything (all instruments were synthesized).
