  27. That sounds just like the OB practice we used (we used in the
  28. metaphysical sense, I guess) the first time.  They were 4 female
  29. Dr's and a male Dr.  Their attitude was that the ONLY place for
  30. males was to start the kid and be there to get screamed at
  31. during transition.

  33. The hospital they practiced at also trained the woman in diaper changing,
  34. and looked real funny at me when I asked questions.

  36. Our first ped didn't want the father out, but he didn't much
  37. listen either.

  39. Second baby, new practice, new ped, new hospital.  Much nicer,
  40. more comfortable, less paternalism from the practice full of
  41. older male Doctors, who seem to listen to everyone and take
  42. note.  Same for pediatric practice.
