- What your nurse said seems contrary to what my pediatrician said. I am the
- mother of a 8 month old who is big for his age and a big eater. My pediatrician
- said not to think about putting him on a diet at this point, but to let him eat
- as much as he wants. (But, not to think that he is hungry every time he cries --
- he might just want to be held, etc.) (My baby has actually slowed his growth and
- eating the last month or so.)
-
- My advice is not to trust the nurse, but to insist on talking to the doctor about
- it. And if you don't like the doctor's advice, try finding another whose advice
- you do like. Good luck.
