- Well, we will soon be off for the mountains of Colorado to spend Christmas
- with Grandma and Grandpa. Yesterday we opened our presents at home, and
- true to form, Douglas (15 mos.) was most interested in the two most
- inexpensive presents he received. Craig had gotten him a few refrigerator
- magnets shaped liked footballs, basketballs, and baseballs and had wrapped
- them in a small box. Doug must have spent 20 minutes putting them in and
- out of the box and carrying them around. Until he opened the next favorite
- toy, a plastic milk jug and four balls and a hammer that we picked up at the
- last minute at the Dollar Store. (By the way, what is the point of the
- hammer with this toy??? You don't use it to bang the balls in or out, it
- doesn't make noise when you hit the bottle, any ideas?)
-
- Along the lines of the recent posts about Christmas trees, Doug has been
- very good with our tree. He loves to see the lights turned on and goes
- right to the tree every morning. I'm afraid he will be a little
- disappointed when we take it down. One evening he seemed unusually quiet
- and a quick check found him lying on the floor by the tree staring up at
- the lights. He looked positively angelic.
-
- I hope everyone enjoys the holiday season at their house. And best wishes
- for a new year filled with health and happiness.
