- I just got off the phone with the most WONDERFUL young lady at Michigan
- Bell (and most of you know I don't get along much with them), and she tells
- me that May first, Michigan Bell will be combining the TOTAL of lines you
- have in your home (billed to ONE bill) and giving us that amount of calls
- to play with in any fashion we'd like.
-
- That's nice.
-
- Of course, that's the way it always used to work before December 1991 when
- they changed to the current system (which they couldn't have done back in
- the days when the phone company was still regulated). So, in typical
- Michigan Bell style, they're going back to the old way of doing things and
- making it sound like we're getting something new.
-
- Actually, I'm not sure this is true. I do know that in December they
- changed from giving a simple total of all calls made to listing the counts
- separately for each line. But I never made more than the minimum number of
- calls on each line before then, so I don't know how it would have been
- billed. I would appreciate hearing from someone who knows.
