- I have a problem that consumed a few hours these last days. Anybody willing
- to help resolve it?
-
- Using TI-Writer, I was trying to put the ' sign above a letter like is
- found in some names of Latin origin (e.g., e' or o' etc.). it did that from
- TI-Writer using transliteration, namely, I defined the character } to
- stand for "print one backspace (to go back to the letter e or o or whatever),
- then print the ' ".
- This worked fine with the usual roman character set, either draft or NLQ.
- But when I tried to combine this with ITALICS, the ' was misplaced at random
- locations in the printout. In this case, there is a transliteration command
- earlier in the text (prior to the } mentioned above) to turn on Italics.
-
- Anybody who got an Epson printer (FX, LX, LQ series)- could you please try this
- and let me know whether I am dreaming or there is a bug in the Epson printers?
-
- Anybody who got a non-Epson printer, could you try this and let me know what
- are the results and which type of printer you are using?
-
- Remember, the problem occurs when the accented letter (e', o' etc.) is being
- printed out in the Italics character set mode. If possible, try it both with
- draft and NLQ (or LQ if you have that).
-
- Thanks.
