- A short background-
- even if you are using the TI disk controller card, you can use double sided
- drives for a total of 180K per diskette. The TI controller will perform
- double sided, it is only the TI disk drive that is single sided.
-
- I have some double sided drives that will work either as a direct replacement
- of the TI disk drive (drive #1 or DSK1) or as an addition of drive #2 (DSK2),
- can be used either inside the PEBox or in an external case with their own
- power supply. In case anybody is interested, please let me know.
- This will allow a lot of flexibility in many applications. You can put
- all your F'web or C'99 or TI-Writer files or a complete Infocom game etc.
- on a single diskette and you won't have to swap disks so often.
- I will include, with every drive that anybody might buy, a couple of diskettes
- with PD programs that require DS drives (E.g., JP-Drawing, some PD assembly
- music from Harrison Software).
-
- Nobody has expressed interest so far in tarding for the MG/Triton Super Extended
- BASIC and the CorComp controller (DS/DD 360K)... Any takers? :-)
-
- Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to all 99'ers wherever they are!
