- I am trying to help a Model II user convert TRSDOS 2.0b diskettes to
- TRSDOS 2.0a that supports the Model II 8" disk drives. There is a utility
- on these disks called "UNTHIN". Below are several questions:
-
- 1. Must I type "DO UNTHIN" on a Model 16 or Model 6000 to accomplish this or
- will TRSDOS 2.0b diskettes boot up on a Model II so the user can do this
- himself on his own machine (I don't want to mail him software that won't
- boot due to the difference in floppy drives).
-
- 2. When I type "DO UNTHIN" or "DO THINLINE" on my Model 16/6000 machines
- the program goes through a 1/2 dozen or so patches and then gives the
- error "string not found - aborting" followed by several dozen approximate
- more patches. My question is, what the heck is going on here? Is this
- working? What is this string error telling me or is this just a normal
- diagnostic junk message?

- P.S. I have heard there have been some e-mail problems with messages getting
- returned undelivered, if this happens, please post it to comp.sys.tandy and
- I will read it here and let me know if your mail got returned. Thanks!
