  14. Hi, I'm considering getting an SGI machine. I'm trying to find out if there
  15. exists a configuration that would satisfy me for under 10K$.

  17. Here's what I would like:
  18. Hardware: at least 8-bit color double-buffered graphics with Z-buffer.
  19.       24-32 Meg of memory
  20.       ~1Gig disk
  21.       19" monitor
  22. Software: C,C++.

  24. Is there any machine/configuration that will fulfill my price constraint? 
  25. I'm willing to consider used machines if a new one is out of this price
  26. range.

  28. Is it common for SGI buyers to get memory and disks from 3'rd party vendors?
