  13. Can I delete the (hidden) file Desktop, and expect that it will be rebuilt
  14. when I reboot my Mac?

  16. Under system 7.0.1, when I use ResEdit to view the file Desktop, I see 
  17. resources from programs that are no longer resident on my Mac. For example, 
  18. after removing the terminal emulation program Reflections, and all related
  19. files, including any preference files, I still have the Reflections icons
  20. in the ICN# (et alia) file. (Yes, I rebuilt the desktop... :)

  22. I've evaluated several software packages for my workgroup, each of which
  23. leaves a little trail of used icons, and so on... Any suggestions on how
  24. to reduce the amount of space used by this file? Are there any other files
  25. that are growing as well?
