- Hi,
-
- If using RESEDIT is not easy enough, maybe you should try asking the application
- maker to use consistant time stamps. My guess is that it will take a bit longer
- for the company to make those changes rather than for you to do the work your-
- self. Also, once you have found which resources to change, the fix is REALLY
- EASY. If/when you find the "fix" just send out detailed instructions. And if
- your users do not have expertise to follow cookbook instructions, do the work
- for them. Typically, these fixes (once you isolate the problem) take about 2
- minutes to implement.
-
- In the world of cross-platform connectivity, there are LOTS of considerations to
- be made. And, many of these considerations are not obvious, but are still
- important (time stamps fit in this catagory). Please be aware that your job as
- an administrator is to keep technology working for you, not against you. You
- will always find areas of conflict (or have you not noticed the more obvious
- differences between the Macintosh and the Intel based PC?). Your job is to
- get passed these conflicts before your users see them, not to deride companies
- who have not used your particular application/configuration. Administrators
- have a certain responsibility to "just make it work," rather than to flame
- companies' employees that give you honest solution suggestions.
-
- I will get off of my "soap box" now...

- ps. QT is being successfully used at MANY other sites. Have you tried Director
- (by MacroMedia)? Or better yet, maybe you could get a company to demonstrate
- how well their QT application works with NW4MAC. I am sure they would be happy
- to oblige you...
