- I got a RamLink recently, and have run into a _lee-tle_ problem with
- the proverbial SX-64-is-not-quite-a-C-64 incompatability. Way back when
- the machine was half its current age, a friend told me of reading about
- a one-chip replacement that would turn my SX-64 into a "real C-64". I
- paid little attention at the time, since what I used worked without
- trouble.
-
- Unfortunately, the "not-quite" has reared its head (again) and this time
- I'd like to fix it. I've spoken to one of the C-64 users locally, who
- thinks the chip that needs replacement is one of the Basic ROM's.
-
- I'm at a standstill myself. The RamLink works most of the time, but
- will not scroll down in Basic (it freezes and I'm starting to wear out
- the reset button), will not boot up if the RamLink is enabled, and
- otherwise is just a bit ornery ...
-
- Any help will be appreciated.
