- Just how do you turn on the drive? Mine, model 4540NT, has no external
- power switch. The only external switch is the one used to eject the tape.
- My guess is that my particular drive isn't "on" until a tape is inserted.
- At least, that is the way it appears to behave.

- By the way, I have a friend with one of these that has observed the same
- behavior. Is this just behavior peculiar to this model of the Python?
- The Quick Installation Guide supplied with the drive lists 11 models of the
- Python it covers so there is certainly room for significant differences
- between models.
