- Dear netters,
-
- I can get a fairly good deal on an IBM 'Corsair' 3.5" 1 GB SCSI disk
- for my UNIX SVR4 system. This disk is advertised as having a 'fast-scsi'
- interface. I have been reading this newsgroup for a long time,
- but I still don't know if this 'fast-scsi' disk is compatible with
- my ADAPTEC 1542B SCSI controller.
-
- Therefore I would be grateful if someone could answer the following
- questions:
-
- 1. Is this IBM Corsair 'fast-scsi' disk compatible with my ADAPTEC 1542B?
- ( I already have the ADAPTEC ROMs that will support > 1GB)
-
- 2. Does this IBM 'Corsair' disk use the standard SCSI 50-pin connections?
-
-
- 3. How are your experiences with this IBM disk (reliability, noise)?
-
-
- 4. A happy New Year :-)
