- Hi,
-
- I got myself a new monitor yesterday, so I installed new drivers
- to fully utilise it. I used to have the 800x600x16 drivers
- installed without any problems. Now I have the 1024x768x16
- with 8514 resources installed. (and the 256 colors for WINOS2)
- There are a few problems.
-
- - starting a windowed DOS session locks up the machine, unless
- I start a full screen session before that.
-
- - Switching between DOS full screen and windowed does not work.
- Switching from full screen to windowed is ok, but the other
- way around the monitor looses sync and the screen is full of
- bogus characters.
-
- - In WINOS2 the screen is not always properlay addressed. Parts get
- drawn on the wrong piece of the screen so it may end up cluttered.
-
- - Switching from WINOS2 (full screen) to WPS doesn't refresh the screen
- properly. The WPS effectively remains visible when switching back
- to WINOS2.
-
- - DOS graphics programs wont run in a window. It complains of not
- having enough memory (16M), whereas the 800x600 never did such
- a thing.
-
- So, are these known problems? And, are they fixed by the new
- (32-bit) drivers?
-
- Thanks
- Erik
