- Greetings from a former TIer:
-
- TE/2 behaves the way you describe because it wishes for the modem signals
- such as DCD to be set up in a way not generally used with programs such
- as Procomm Plus or Telix (my DOS comm package of choice).
-
- Since I use a Hayes compatible 2400 baud modem, I looked at the setup file
- he provides for Hayes compatibles which describes the setup strings he
- thinks you should use once to set up the modem after which he tells you
- to save the configuration. This setup makes Telix complain, so instead
- of setting it permanently, I use the modem setup string in TE/2's INI
- file to set it up for each session.
-
- If you would like to see the setting I use, drop me a line and I'll get
- it from home and send or post it.
