- Well folks, this may or may not be viewed as egg on the face time.
-
- After discussing this problem with one of lads in Boca Raton it seems that
- under certain conditions the SVGA.EXE will detect IBM SVGA when the port
- addresses in the XGA range appear to respond as active. This clue led me to
- wonder if indeed any of my hardware could in fact be using a port in the XGA
- range. What about my Hardcard I thought ! Well I removed it altogether, and
- yes you guessed, SVGA works a treat.
-
- Why didn't I think in the first place that just because I have an SVGA card
- already installed that the SVGA.EXE might just believe my hardcard was an XGA
- adapter.
-
- Well if anyone has this problem it is easily rectified by switching the Plus
- XL105 Hardcard i/o address from the default of 170-177,376-377 to
- 320-327,32E-32F. Six months or more just to find this out. Boy do I feel sick.
