- I've been experiencing a problem with TE/2 when I try to use it with the
- settings: E,7,1. The program tells me that a connection has been made, but
- nothing shows up on the screen. I've tried hitting the return key, playing
- around with duplex, etc. but to no avail. I do hear the tone from the remote
- machine, I just can't get a login prompt.
-
- I have no such problems when I dial with the parity set to none, as most
- dial-ins require. There are only a fewl places that I need to dial into where
- the parity has to be set to even.
-
- Otherwise, I love TE/2. I had gotten it from hobbes.nmsu.edu and would like to
- register it, if I can get it to work properly.
-
- My hardware is a Gateway 2000 486, 33MHz, 8M RAM, Intel 2400 baud modem
- on Com3.
-
- I apologize if this question has been addressed before. Thanks for any help.
