- There were a bunch of replies to my post, so they're all answered (more or

-
- Okay, it's just not something I ever tried. That's good news: we have both
- client and server. I would assume, therefore, that if I'd invested in the
- programmer's kit, then I could right OS/2 applications that could be
- displayed on our Unix box. Yippee!

-
- This happens when you don't have the DISPLAY variable set to your local
- machine. Actually, it can be quite fun on a multiuser machine if you have
- privileges (ie, as root). You can run programs and make them display on
- _other people's_ terminals. Great fun.

-
- The fault may be with my display. I have an Appian Renaissance III hi-res
- board in my machine (a DEC 433ST). Appian hasn't written display drivers for
- OS/2 2.0 because, they claim, IBM hasn't released the device driver
- development kit. I'm using OS/2 1.3 drivers which work sort of. I wouldn't
- doubt that they're my problem.

-
- You need to get the TCP/IP programmer's kit, I believe. That will have the
- libraries and header files you need. You'll also need an appropriate C
- compiler.

-
- Nope. I installed it over 1.2.1. If you install the CSD (syslevel 2275?), it
- comes up adding a 3 on the end of the version. Sigh. I'm STILL not on that
- machine to verify EXACTLY what it says though.
