- Here's a problem that cropped up with the latest patch (17) for Elm 2.4:

- When forewarding a message and selecting "n" when asked if you want to
- edit the outgoing message, ELM insists on prepending the 'greater than'
- sign (>) to each line. This is very undesirable and greping through the
- docs has not revealed any voodoo that has changed that is making this
- happen.

- On occasion I foreward source or shell archives to people and having
- that pesky > at the beginning of each line is a royal pain. The
- inevitable question is: bug or feature? And, can it be turned off?
- Prior to this patch there would be no > under the conditions stated
- above.
