- I live on a system with limited diskspace per user (1MB). Is it possible
- to get elm to compress/uncompress folders? I haven't thought this through
- yet, but it sounds nice. Offhand I can think of these ways:
-
- - If a named folder doesn't exist, look for folder.Z
- - When writing to a folder.Z, compress and append
- - When reading from a folder, read and uncompress
- - When opening a folder , uncompress is totally and use it
- remembering the previous state
- - When closing it again, auto-compress it
-
- Maybe there are better ways of doing this. It just would be nice to keep
- diskusage down and still have full folders on the system...
-
- Maybe this goes in 2.5????
-
- Just a thought
