- I think this is a mistype (as you got it correct higher up). V.42 has nothing
- to do with any speed - it is an error correction scheme.

- Going back to what Gerald wrote V.42bis isn't MNP levels 2-5, it's a
- compression scheme which has nothing to do with MNP at all. It usually sits on
- top of V.42 error correction. V.42 uses LAP-M error correction but it does also
- support MNP2-4. V.42bis does *not* support MNP5.
