  22. I have also had problems with W4W 2.0 Win3.1, Dos 5.0 with file corruption
  23. Pieces of the file delete themselves as I watch them on the screen.  The
  24. last time this happened, I had just been working with the Header and
  25. had attempted to save the file.  Got a GPF.  When I reopened the file, 
  26. there were a bunch of garbage characters.  These characters moved around
  27. on the screen without me doing anything.  I closed the file, quit windows
  28. and looked at the file with Norton 5.0 DiskEditor.  It contained some 
  29. directory fragments and the first part of the file had been moved to a
  30. later sector (this part does not show up when viewed with WFW.)

  32. This is the second time this has happened to me.  I don't know if it's
  33. Word or something else about my setup.  I also don't know if it's just
  34. totally ridiculous to have directory fragments mixed in with Word files
  35. (though I haven't found them in older Word files) or to have pieces of
  36. the document out of order.

  38. Anyone else had this sort of problem with Word for Windows?
