- I have also had problems with W4W 2.0 Win3.1, Dos 5.0 with file corruption
- Pieces of the file delete themselves as I watch them on the screen. The
- last time this happened, I had just been working with the Header and
- had attempted to save the file. Got a GPF. When I reopened the file,
- there were a bunch of garbage characters. These characters moved around
- on the screen without me doing anything. I closed the file, quit windows
- and looked at the file with Norton 5.0 DiskEditor. It contained some
- directory fragments and the first part of the file had been moved to a
- later sector (this part does not show up when viewed with WFW.)
-
- This is the second time this has happened to me. I don't know if it's
- Word or something else about my setup. I also don't know if it's just
- totally ridiculous to have directory fragments mixed in with Word files
- (though I haven't found them in older Word files) or to have pieces of
- the document out of order.
-
- Anyone else had this sort of problem with Word for Windows?
