  11. MANILA, Philippines (UPI) -- The Philippines will auction off former first
  12. lady Imelda Marcos' jewels in May 1993 and expects to earn as nuch as $18
  13. million, a senior official said Tuesday.

  15. Magtanggol Gunigundo, chairman of an agency formed to recover wealth
  16. allegedly plundered by Mrs. Marcos and her late husband Ferdinand, indicated
  17. Christies will conduct the auction in Geneva, Switzerland.

  19. The jewels include those being kept inside a vault at the Philippine Central
  20. Bank and items seized by customs authorities in Honolulu, where the Marcoses
  21. fled after the 20-year ruler was deposed in a popular army revolt in 1986.
