- The thing at the top of my 1993 wish list would be for NB4 to be
- brought back into line with NB3 as regards ease of
- configurability of drivers. I've just finished designing VGA
- screen and HP PCL 4 printer fonts containing the special
- International Phonetic Alphabet symbols needed to transcribe
- French. Once my softfont file was completed, the task of making
- the printer driver with Lodestar was swift. Making a keyboard
- driver for the special VGA characters by means of the direct
- editing of a .KBD file with NB3 was straightforward. I can now
- see my French IPA symbols on the screen, and they stick when
- entering NB3, when shelling out to DOS, and even when quitting
- NB3 and re-entering. It sure beats waiting for the IPA symbols
- promised for Lingua.
-
- Here's wishing you all a very happy 1993.
