  23. The U.S. Department of Education's National Center for
  24. Education Statistics (NCES) announces the release of a data
  25. tape from the Common Core of Data survey, "National Public
  26. Education Financial Survey (NPEFS)."  This report is based
  27. on inforamiton obtained from the Common Core of Data series
  28. surveys conducted by NCES for the fiscal years 1989 and
  29. 1990.  Data on the tape represents fiscal information on
  30. public elementary and secondary schools reported by the 50
  31. states, the District of Columbia, and the outlying areas as
  32. of January 31, 1992.

  34. The tape includes detailed data on revenues, current
  35. expenditures, property expenditures, and average daily
  36. attendace (ADA), the variables found in the fiscal portion
  37. of the May 1992 E.D. TABS: "Public Elementary and Secondary
  38. State Aggregate Data, for School Year 1990-91 and Fiscal
  39. Year 1990" (NCES 92-033).

  41. The data with documentation are available on diskette for
  42. $75 or on magnetic tape for $175.  Payment may be in the
  43. form of a check or money order (payable to the U.S.
  44. Department of Education), or charged to VISA or MasterCard.
