  18. be the site of a VLF ground wave transmitter.  Part of an experiment
  19. in communications with ships at sea and coast to coast transmissions.

  29. You haven't listened to some of those ship operators pound brass.  Some of
  30. the old timers have been clocked in excess of 100 wpm.  Also, CW seems to
  31. be able to get through when other modes of communication can't.

  33. Altho I am an amateur radio operator, I am not a CW buff.  I am awe struck
  34. by anyone who can copy and send over 30 wpm.
