  10. Well, I found out what the radio facility is sitting next to Hiway 101
  11. next to Palo Alto...  I had posted elsewhere on just what this was..

  13. It is used for maritime communication..I suspected this, as my front end
  14. overloads with CW and I suspected it was from this installation as I 
  15. drove by it every day.  I thought maritime communication was modern 
  16. in these times and I suspect that other aspects of maritime comm's use
  17. up to date transmission modes...but CW appears still in use and extremely
  18. cheap though slow.

  20. One of the towers apparently was used to notify Pearl Harbor of an
  21. impending attack (which came too late...)

  23. The City of Palo Alto would like to buy the property, but the owner
  24. wants over 500k while the city has had the property appraised at around
  25. 350k I think.. now there is a fight between the property owner and 
  26. the city about the duck pond in front..  interesting bit of info I 
  27. thought.
