  24.     Well... I'll put it to you this way.  If we consider the issue of
  25. homosexuality as a moral issue, and extend it to being a religious issue,
  26. then you'd have what Judaism and Christianity have been facing for the last
  27. 2000 years or so.

  29.     Mainline Chistianity teaches that the Jewish faith is wrong, at
  30. least parts of it.  Jews say Jesus is not G-d, and that he isn't the
  31. Messiah, and that you don't need to believe in Jesus to be on G-d's
  32. good side.

  34.     Mainline Judaism teaches that it is an abomination to call a
  35. man G-d, and it is also an abomination to drink the blood of the
  36. sacrificial Lamb.

  38.     Yet, the two religious groups have eventually found a more or less
  39. peaceful coexistence.  This has come as a result of sheer numbers living 
  40. together enough to see the good aspects of both cultures, and from these 
  41. people learning to tolerate religious differences.

  43.     Can this happen with with mainline (anti-Gay) Christianity and
  44. the various pro-Gay denominations of Christianity? or between the former 
  45. and the Gay culture/religions in general?

  47.     Quite possibly so.  We have one advantage in this country, and that 
  48. is the alleged freedom of religion.  Of course, just because we are 
  49. supposed to have this freedom doesn't mean it will be granted.  Religious 
  50. freedoms of many have often been overlooked from time to time.
