- Ok, maybe I need to describe the situation better. If you are within range
- to sweep Ken/Ryu when (or as) they throw the fireball, sweep them. If you
- are too far away, there are 2 possibilities. First, as they throw a jab
- fireball, walk toward them. Keep walking until the last second when you have
- to block. Watch them carefully. If they followup with another fireball
- immediately, you can jump it and hit them. If not, try to walk in while they
- aren't throwing a fireball. If they try to throw a fireball while you are
- walking in now, you can sweep them. At least you will get a trade in your
- favor. This does take some guess work on jumping in after the first fireball,
- but this is the case any time you jump in on these guys pretty much. Now,
- I am not saying that you will win this trade everytime. Sometimes you will get
- fake, etc. But once I get close enough to sweep, the fireball becomes a much
- lesser threat. The key here is that once you get in, you must stay in. You
- are close enough at the beginning of the round. If they jump back, and you
- jump towards them, you are an idiot. Just walk towards them, and you are
- in the same position (or possibly better for you since they are close to the
- corner now). The second alternative is back up to full screen distance away,
- block a random number of fireballs, and then jump one. To sweep you as you
- land, they would half to walk towards you. If they do this as you are blocking
- a fireball, as soon as your out of the block, walk towards them. If they are
- throwing another fireball, walk in a sweep them through it.

- Sorry if this isn't too clear, but judgement on your part, and a little
- creativity are all part of this strategy (plus I am late for work:-). Note:
- If you are in the corner, or worse in Ryu's fireball trap, this strategies
- effectiveness diminishes. Let me just say again, that I think a master Ryu
- player will beat a master Honda. I am only debating that this "trap" can
- be beat, PERIOD (right back at ya). I do it all the time. The Ryu players
- here are VERY good, so please don't tell me that they must all suck. If I
- still haven't made myself clear, let me know and I will try again when I have
- more time.
