- Go to the class. Why? Because if you've never read before, even a class
- using a deck you don't like will teach you a lot of the good ol' basic
- things that you can apply later to your own deck.
- What sort of things? Well, the most important is relating meanings to
- cards- each card, of course, has its own meaning- with some decks, the
- meanings are fairly straightforward or well defined, with others, the
- meanings of the cards come from within. But learning to associate
- meaning with card, and then meaning with card with position, then
- meaning with card with position as part of a whole is a learned task :)
- You can also learn different spreads, different ideas, etc. Who knows,
- you may even meet someone who reads the same deck as you want to.
- The Rider/Waite, while being (at least to me) a boring sort of deck, is
- a good one to start with- its clean, well defined images, nice colors- a
- good deck to start with.
- Good luck!
