- I've always been interested in learning how to read tarot cards, but
- the thought of trying to keep the meanings of all those different cards
- straight gave me a headache. After years of resisting the urge, a deck
- absolutely screamed "BUY ME! BUY ME NOW!!!" Ah, well. So here I am with
- this perfectly lovely deck I know nothing about. The Tarot of the Old Path.
- As if that weren't bad enough, I've been told it differs from the
- traditional decks a bit.
- The point, the point. I know it's here somewhere! Ah, yes. A local
- bookstore specializing in such matters is offering a six week course for
- very green tarot users such as myself. They recommend, however, a Rider
- Waite deck for the class to learn on. Here's the million dollar question.
- Should I stick with the only deck that's ever inspired me to learn? Should
- I purchase a Rider Waite deck for the class and figure out the difference
- when the course is over? Is anyone else familiar with the Tarot of the Old
- Path? Was this a bad choice for my first deck? (They did practically hurl
- themselves off the shelf and into my resisting hands, afterall!) I would
- deeply appreciate any advice on the matter. I should also mention that I
- REALLY dislike the R.W. deck. No offence meant to those who like it.
- I do go on don't I? Sorry! I couldn't resist once I saw there were no
- other entries in this group! Thanks in advance!

- Blessings, Lisa Ann (Or she who is perpetually lost)
