- I would like to buy a SCSI external CD-ROM unit for my system but I
- don't know which one will work.
-
- I phoned to Sony Italia asking for such a beast but somone explained
- me that there is only one unit they sell. It is the CDU-6211. When I
- asked him whether that unit is compatible with Unix (I'm planning to
- buy a SVR4), he answered: "We sell the CD-ROM in our kit, which
- contains a SCSI adapter for Pc-AT, cables, and Dos device drivers. We
- have never tried to install it on a different OS." (sigh)
-
- Any better experience?
-
- If I have to forget Sony, which one do you recommend for these
- purposes?
