- I have been explicit about the imaginary nature of Santa Claus
- with my kids from day one. It doesn't seem to cause us any
- difficulty in celebrating Christmas (which I think is a wonderful
- holiday even when all references to Jesus are omitted).
-
- Incidentally, I don't see anything wrong with celebrating
- Christmas (or other religious holidays) with recounting of
- the mythic tales associated with it. The world's mythology has
- been a source of pleasure to me all me life, and I hope to
- pass that experience on to my children.
