  18.                A very simple experiment can demonstrate (PROVE) the 
  19.           FACT of "BIOLOGICAL TRANSMUTATIONS" (reactions like Mg + O 
  20.           --> Ca, Si + C --> Ca, K + H --> Ca, N2 --> CO, etc.), as 
  21.           described in the BOOK "Biological Transmutations" by Louis 
  22.           Kervran, [1972 Edition is BEST.], and in Chapter 17 of the 
  23.           book "THE SECRET LIFE OF PLANTS" [see Footnote] by Peter 
  24.           Tompkins and Christopher Bird, 1973: 
  25.  
  26.                (1) Obtain a good sample of plant seeds, all of the same 
  27.                    kind.  [Some kinds might work better that others.]
  28.  
  29.                (2) Divide the sample into two groups of equal weight 
  30.                    and number.
  31.  
  32.                (3) Sprout one group in distilled water on filter paper 
  33.                    for three or four weeks.
  34.  
  35.                (4) Separately incinerate both groups.
  36.  
  37.                (5) Weigh the residue from each group.  [The residue of 
  38.                    the sprouted group will usually weigh at least 
  39.                    SEVERAL PERCENT MORE than the other group.]
  40.  
  41.                (6) Analyze quantitatively the residue of each group for 
  42.                    mineral content.  [Some of the mineral atoms of the 
  43.                    sprouted group have been TRANSMUTED into heavier 
  44.                    mineral elements by FUSING with atoms of oxygen, 
  45.                    hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, etc..]

  48.                BIOLOGICAL TRANSMUTATIONS occur ROUTINELY, even in our 
  49.           own bodies.

  51.                Ingesting a source of organic silicon (silicon with 
  52.           carbon, such as "horsetail" extract, or radishes) can SPEED 
  53.           HEALING OF BROKEN BONES via the reaction Si + C --> Ca, (much 
  54.           faster than by merely ingesting the calcium directly).

  56.                Some MINERAL DEPOSITS in the ground are formed by micro-
  57.           organisms FUSING together atoms of silicon, carbon, nitrogen, 
  58.           oxygen, hydrogen, etc..

  60.                The two reactions Si + C <--> Ca, by micro-organisms, 
  61.           cause "STONE SICKNESS" in statues, building bricks, etc..  
  62.           
  63.                The reaction N2 --> CO, catalysed by very hot iron, 
  64.           creates a CARBON-MONOXIDE POISON HAZARD for welder operators 
  65.           and people near woodstoves (even properly sealed ones).

  67.                Some bacteria can even NEUTRALIZE RADIOACTIVITY!
