- But seriously. Four light-years in one hour is nothing to squawk at,
- but it is still slower that the _Lying_Bastard_ of Puppeteer fame.

- I think John got his idea of these space craft having to be away
- from planets from "Ringworld" by Niven, and two or three StarTrek
- books---- one does not jump into The Hole or warp drive while in
- the influence of a gravity well.

- John is very enjoyable to read, but after a year or so it gets
- kind of tedious. I wish the resident fire walker would come back!
- At least he made an attempt to rationalize away his mistakes.
