  14. ABIAN'S PROOF OF THE FUNDAMENTAL THEOREM OF ALGEBRA

  16.    I have given both an unabridged and abridged proofs of the FUNDAMENTAL
  17. THEOREM OF ALGEBRA.  They were posted and reposted several times and
  18. there is no need to repost again.

  20.   Several people's reaction was that my proof is  "a load of crap", 
  21. "utter bullshit" (they even did not use the polite form "beta-sigma",
  22. invented by me!) and that I am  "a crackpot".
  23.   Among the above people are:  V. R. PRATT of Stanford University and
  24.   P.Da COSTA.

  27.   My answer to these people was and is.

  29.    "I WAGER $500. SHOW MY PROOF TO A (impartial) FACULTY MEMBER OF 
  30.     THE MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT OF STANFORD UNIVERSITY WHO IS A SPECIA-
  31.     LISTS IN THE THEORY OF ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS. IF THE SPECIALIST FINDS
  32.     MY PROOF INCORRECT I WILL PAY (only once -to the first challenger-
  33.     there is always the first, even among the twins).  BUT IF THE SPECIAL-
  34.     IST FINDS MY PROOF CORRECT THE CHALLENGER MUST PAY ME $500."

  36.   Ladies and Gentlemen, is my wager fair enough ?

  38.  So far they did not accept my Wager, instead like poisonous mosquitoes 
  39. they bite and bite with personal innuendoes "crackpot", "bullshit", etc.

  41.   Also, Mr. Pratt do not compare me with Newton.  My little finger has more
  42. intelligence than Newton and Einstein put together.

  44.   Finally, if Mr Pratt or Da Costa you desire further explanation con-
  45. cerning my proof: first, you must publicly declare that you are 
  46. declining to accept my wager, and: second, you must ask me politely
  47. without any explicit or implicit personal innuendoes or sarcasm to give 
  48. further explanation and to point out where your reasoning fails.  Other-
  49. wise, this is the last time you are hearing from me concerning FTA.
