  13. About two years ago I read in a newsgroup (alt.paranormal  
  14. I think ) files released by the U.S. government under the
  15. freedom of information act (FOIA).
  16.          In these files were letters from USAF officers
  17. to mainly independant investigators, 'confirming' that
  18. UFOs do exist and the US government does indeed have in
  19. their posession a number of cadavers and wreckages from
  20. crashed UFOs.
  21.          The most interesting point about these letters
  22. was one that always stuck in my mind and I'm wondering
  23. if anybody has heard anything about this:
  24.          Apparrently, the most closely guarded secret
  25. in the U.S. government regards how the UFOs were 
  26. powered. This, I believe, involves harnessing the
  27. potential energy of the earth's magnetic field.
  28. The theory of this seems to explain the motion of
  29. observed UFOs including the incredible acceleration
  30. in any direction and very high manouverability.
  31.          Does anyone know if this is possible?
  32.          Is this a big hoax?
  33.          Or,
  34.          Should we be starting research into what
  35. could be the greatest advance in propulsion that
  36. mankind has ever known, more exciting than cold fusion
  37. (if it worked ) and potentially more useful?
