- I had my lower two (impacted wisdom teeth, that is !) done in a UK hospital
- about 20 years ago, and the upper two out in the dentist's chair. I woke up
- from the hospital operation feeling happy &high as a kite (they used diaprazime
- as the *anasthetic*), little swelling or discomfort (despite a 1.5 hour
- operation involving cutting the jawbone away on both sides) and was eating
- ice cream and apple pie an hour or so later.
- On the other hand, the uppper two were extracted under a very short general
- anasthetic - took about ten minutes - but I felt weird for days afterwards.
- Valium/Librium in high doses seems to be the way to go !
