  17.      Useless and worse-than-useless.  The GREs are too easy and they
  18. lend themselves to strategic exam taking.  High GRE scores (esp. subject
  19. scores) prove nothing.  (This isn't sour grapes.  I got very high GRE
  20. scores, but I also know how I got them.)
