  14.     Today while listening to a report on the social and political
  15. turmoil in South Africa I heard the reporter use a word which 
  16. according to him literally meant "meeting in the bush".
  17. (In the context of a meeting between the ANC and the Government)
  18.  
  19.     It sounded very similar to the native American POWWOW and 
  20. appeared to be a popular expression in South Africa.  I do not 
  21. know if the word is afrikaans but sounded local to South Africa.
  22. I have forgotten the word and  would like someone to help me out.
