- Hi,
-
- Today while listening to a report on the social and political
- turmoil in South Africa I heard the reporter use a word which
- according to him literally meant "meeting in the bush".
- (In the context of a meeting between the ANC and the Government)
-
- It sounded very similar to the native American POWWOW and
- appeared to be a popular expression in South Africa. I do not
- know if the word is afrikaans but sounded local to South Africa.
- I have forgotten the word and would like someone to help me out.
-
- Thanks in advance
-
