- We just took Jeffrey on his first plane trip (also to Forida), and like LuAnn,
- we were pleasantly surprised. In many ways it was much more fun then just
- sitting there waiting and watching lousy movies.
-
- For us, the trip consisted of a 7 hour trip (including an hour layover in
- Atlanta). On the way there, he did get a bit restless for about an hour.
- In some ways the layover was good, because it ehlped to spend 30+ mins
- climbing all over the waiting area seats.
-
- The way back was something that kept me up the night before worrying about.
- The layover in Altanta was 6.5 hours, so that we could meet Jeffrey's great
- Grandmother (first time for Jeffrey and me). Not only did I want us to
- survive the day, but I wanted him to be at his best. He was wonderful all day.
- He loved the plane, and the new toys, and watching the inflight movie (without
- sound).
-
- A cute story - on the flight from Miami to Atlanta they gave a snack of
- bagel, cream cheese and jam. Evan let him put his own jam on his bagel. He
- did very well, but at the end of the meal, Evan asked me to hand over a
- diaper wipe. While Evan was cleaning up Jeffrey, Jeffrey asked Evan (for the
- umpteenth time) what happens when you fly. Evan explained (again) how we go
- up in a plane, etc, etc. When he got to the end of the story Jeffrey adds
- "Yes, and you get sticky too!".
-
- It was a fun trip!
