  22. Actually, The Commissioner of Health does have the authority. The
  23. problem has been that the people who have occupied that office have
  24. chosen, for varying reasons, to not exercise that authority. The
  25. Department of Health has Administrative authority over all health
  26. related professions, including EMT's and Medics.

  28. As for the NJFAC, I can think of at least 7 squads off the top of my
  29. head, who are members of the Council and do not abide by the minimum
  30. standards. Haven't for years and the Council has neither taken or
  31. attempted to take any type of action on the issue.

  34. effects of this lack of regulation is the public>
