  28. As they say, anyone can make a mistake, but it takes a computer to really
  29. screw things up!
  30. The human element is important to pick up the unexpected.
  31. (e.g. that $10,000,000 bonus in Joe Poor's pay check).  In the good old
  32. days of slide-rules and log tables, I think that most of us did a ball-park
  33. calculation to make sure we weren't a couple of orders of magnitude out.
  34. I suspect that many calculator users don't check the answer, and therefore
  35. don't pick up their own keying errors.
